The people in Chereponi District have complained about what they contend is a try to bar them from processes heading to a origination of a due North East Region.
They pronounced they totally disagreed with any pierce to take them out a new region.
They done anxiety to a consultative assembly they recently held, where over 90 per cent of chiefs and people, who attended, overwhelmingly concluded to go of a region.
Dr. Solomon Gumanga, their spokesperson, told a press discussion during Chereponi that they were vacant during a termination by a Commission of Inquiry of a designed revisit to a district on Mar 27.’
The Commission, that has been listening to a views of people on a origination of new regions, would start a final leg of a open hearings in a Northern Region from Mar 13 to Mar 25.

He insisted that a people would be out there in their numbers to enthusiastically accept it.
‘If dual regions are to be combined out of a Northern Region, a right place for Chereponi is a North East Region together with Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo, East Mamprusi, West Mamprusi and Mamprugu/Moaduri Districts.’
He combined that ‘the people in a Chereponi embody Anufors/Chokosi, Bimobas, Komkobas, Ewes, Hausas and other tribes. The land belongs to a people and they have a right to select that segment they wish to go to.’
‘We are looking brazen to being in a North East Region with a friends, brothers and sisters, a playmates – a Mamprusi people, who historically have been a allies for some-more than 250 years.’
He appealed to a Commission to hang to a strange devise and revisit a district on Mar 27.
